Wedding of Jared Glen SMIDDY and Jennifer Lynn KOONS, both of Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON -- Jennifer Lynn Koons and Jared Glen Smiddy, both of Bloomington, were married at 4 p.m. June 7, 2008, at First Christian Church, Clinton. The reception was at Madison Hall, Clinton, followed by a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
Her parents are Kenneth Koons of Clinton, and the late Julie Koons. His parents are Debra (Stan) Dixon of Carthage, and the late Glen Smiddy.
Jessica McCleary was matron of honor and Jennifer Haas was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Megan Smiddy and Stephanie Smiddy, and Isabella Crang and Julianna Crang were junior bridesmaids. The flower girl was Rachel Aikman. Terry McConnell was best man. Kyle Koons, Nick Troutman, and Micah Otey were groomsmen. The ushers were Scott Smiddy, Mark McCleary, and Mitchell Neally. The ring bearer was Nathaniel Aikman.
The couple received their master of physical therapy degrees at Maryville University in 2007. They are both physical therapists.
The couple resides in Bloomington.

Of interest to Home Hill and TownsvUle friends was the pretty wedding which look place In St. John's Anglican Church. South TownsvUle oa Wednesday, July 1st.
at 6 p.m. The Rev. I. Butterworth offi ciated. The bride was Isaetta. daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Smiddy. Home Hill. aM the bridegroom was Roy, son of Mr. and Mrs A. Flowers, Boundary -street. Souui Townsville. 

The bride wore a charming gown of lace, ankle length, daintily made to fit her figure. An exquisite long veil fell softly into a train. A coronet ot or of the head. She carried a bouquet of wax roses and trallinga of fern. The bridesmaid. Miss J. Porta, wore a becom ing frock of pink tulle, over taffeta, hav ing a shon bodice and a full skirt. Her headdress wan ot pink tulle, ftnterted oft with a bow to match. Her bouquet was of pink gerberas. Mr C. E. Flowers supported the bridegroom. At the reception the mothers of the bride and groom re ceived their guest?. The happy couple left later for a short honeymoon Mr and Mrs R. Flowers will reside in South Towns ville.

The Gravestone Photographic Resource project.

The Gravestone Photographic Resource project is an attempt to provide a much needed on-line resource for family historians.

Project Aims

The Gravestone Photographic Resource project is an attempt to provide a much needed on-line resource for family historians.
The project aims are as follows:
  1. to digitally photograph grave monuments worldwide that are currently legible
  2. to extract all legible personal information (name, age, date of birth, date of death, relationship) from each image
  3. to publish all legible personal information on an internet database and make this data freely available
  4. to email copies of any grave monument image free of charge to anyone requesting a copy
  5. to lodge at appropriate public record offices collections of images appropriate to that area
  6. to encourage local groups to maintain, photograph and record grave monuments
